Turkiye is one of the most popular short-haul destinations for Pakistani travellers. Istanbul offers history, food, shopping and family-friendly sightseeing within a few hours of flying time, while Antalya and other coastal cities draw holidaymakers through the summer. Before you book anything, though, you need to know which visa route applies to you, because Pakistanis have two very different ways to enter Turkiye, and choosing the wrong one wastes time and money.
This guide explains both routes as they stand in 2026: the conditional e-Visa for Pakistanis who already hold a qualifying visa or residence permit, and the sticker visa that most first-time applicants need through the authorised application centres in Pakistan. One honest note: the Turkish Embassy and Ministry pages themselves do not publish a Pakistan-specific fee or checklist, but Anatolia, the authorised application-centre provider, publishes both on its own site. This guide uses Anatolia’s published fee structure and checklist, and tells you where to confirm them, rather than repeating figures from blogs or agents.
It sits alongside our other visitor-visa guides for readers comparing destinations: the USA visit visa from Pakistan, the UK visit visa from Pakistan, the Canada visitor visa from Pakistan, the Schengen visa from Pakistan 2026 and the Australia visit visa from Pakistan.

Do Pakistanis Need a Visa for Turkiye?
Yes. If you hold an ordinary Pakistani passport, you must hold a visa before you travel to Turkiye. There is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival for ordinary passport holders. Airlines check this before boarding, so a traveller who turns up at the airport without a valid visa or e-Visa will not be allowed to fly.
The one exemption covers official passports. Holders of diplomatic, service, special and official Pakistani passports are exempt for travel to Turkiye for up to 90 days, according to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you hold one of these passport types, check the exemption conditions with the Turkish Embassy before travelling.
For everyone else, the question is not whether you need a visa, but which of the two routes you qualify for. That depends on whether you already hold a valid visa or residence permit from one of four countries.
The Two Routes at a Glance
| Feature | e-Visa route | Sticker visa route |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Ordinary passport holders with a valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit | Ordinary passport holders without a qualifying visa or residence permit |
| Where you apply | Online at www.evisa.gov.tr | In person at an Anatolia Visa Application Centre in Pakistan |
| Visa granted | One-month, single-entry e-Visa | Sticker visa placed in the passport; validity and stay are set on the visa itself |
| Permitted purpose | Tourism or commerce only | Tourism and other visit purposes as applied for |
| Fee | Shown inside the e-Visa portal during the application | Confirm the current fee with Anatolia before applying |
| Decision maker | Issued through the e-Visa system | Turkish Embassy or Consulate, which decides on the application |
The two routes are not interchangeable. If you hold a qualifying visa or residence permit, the e-Visa is the faster and simpler option. If you do not, the sticker visa is the only route, and you should ignore any agent who promises to get you an e-Visa without the qualifying document.

Route 1: The Turkish e-Visa for Pakistani Passport Holders
The e-Visa is the option most Pakistani travellers hope for, because it is applied for online and avoids a trip to an application centre. But it is conditional, and the condition is strict.
Who qualifies for the e-Visa
According to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an ordinary Pakistani passport holder may obtain an e-Visa if they hold a valid visa or residence permit from one of the following: a Schengen country, the United States, the United Kingdom or Ireland. The visa or residence permit must be valid at the time you apply and travel. No age condition is stated for Pakistan, unlike some other nationalities for which the Turkish authorities set additional conditions.
If you do not hold one of these documents, you do not qualify for the e-Visa, and you must use the sticker visa route instead. There is no workaround: a previous visa that has expired, a visa for a country not on the list, or a pending application does not count.
What the e-Visa allows
The e-Visa granted to Pakistani passport holders is a one-month, single-entry visa. It is valid only for tourism or commerce. It does not allow work or study. For work and study, visas are issued by Turkish Embassies and Consulates, and you must apply through the appropriate route for that purpose.
Because the e-Visa is single-entry, leaving Turkiye ends the visa even if part of the month remains. Plan a single continuous trip rather than a trip that involves leaving and re-entering.
How to apply for the e-Visa
Apply only through the official e-Visa portal at www.evisa.gov.tr. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs describes the online application as taking approximately three minutes to complete: that is the time to fill in the form, not a promise about how quickly the e-Visa is issued. During the application, the portal shows the e-Visa fee and asks you to confirm the applicable conditions. The fee is not published on a retrievable official page outside the portal, so the amount you see inside the official portal at the time of application is the figure to rely on.
Once issued, print the e-Visa and carry it with your passport. Also carry the valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit that qualified you for the e-Visa, because it is the basis of your eligibility and may be checked on arrival. Keep a digital copy of both documents on your phone as a backup. Use the official portal directly rather than copycat websites that imitate it and charge extra fees.
Route 2: The Sticker Visa Through Anatolia Visa Application Centres
Most Pakistani applicants, including first-time travellers without a Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa, need a sticker visa. This route is handled entirely through the authorised application centres, not directly at the Embassy.
Anatolia is the sole authorised provider
Since 1 May 2021, Anatolia Travel Services has been the sole authorised service provider for Turkish diplomatic missions across Pakistan to receive visa applications. All sticker visa applications are submitted and collected through Anatolia Visa Application Centres. The Embassy does not accept sticker visa applications directly.
This matters because older guides and some agents still name other providers. The live announcement from the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad names Anatolia as the sole provider, and that is the route to use. Any person or office claiming to be an authorised alternative should be treated with caution.
Where the application centres are
Anatolia operates application centres in eight cities in Pakistan: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Hyderabad. Use the centre most convenient for you. Check Anatolia’s website for the current address, opening hours and any appointment requirements for your chosen centre before visiting, because local arrangements can change.
What Anatolia does and does not do
Anatolia receives your application and documents, collects the fee against a computer-generated receipt, and returns your passport once a decision has been made. It does not decide whether your visa is granted: that decision rests solely with the Turkish Embassy or Consulate. Anatolia states on its own website that it has no official or authorised agent or sub-agent and gives no guarantee of issuance or rejection. Deal directly with a centre, pay only against a computer-generated receipt, and ignore anyone who promises a guaranteed visa for extra money.
Anatolia also offers online application-status tracking by passport number. Use it to follow your application rather than relying on messages from intermediaries, and keep your receipt safe until your passport is back in your hands.
Fees and Additional Costs
Anatolia publishes its fee structure for Pakistani and non-EU passport holders on its website. The figures below are from that published fee structure, in Pakistani rupees, checked on 13 October 2026. Confirm them on Anatolia’s fee structure page or at your centre before applying, because fees can change.
| Visa type | 3 months | 6 months | 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single entry | PKR 52,200 | PKR 58,000 | PKR 63,800 |
| Multiple entry | Not available | Not available | PKR 98,600 |
Transit fees are listed separately on the same page. Payments are in PKR cash only, and fees are non-refundable. The published figures exclude applicable GST. Optional extras listed on the same page include a VIP fee of PKR 4,350 and a PKR 5,600 charge for applications processed after 6pm. No separate Anatolia service fee is itemised on the fee page; the page presents the visa fee and Anatolia service charges together. Pay only against a computer-generated receipt from an authorised office.
How to confirm the current fee
For a sticker visa, confirm the current fee on Anatolia’s fee structure page or at your chosen Anatolia centre before you apply. Ask for a breakdown of what the payment covers, and pay only against a computer-generated receipt from an authorised office. For an e-Visa, the fee is displayed inside the official e-Visa portal at www.evisa.gov.tr during the application.
Costs to budget for beyond the visa fee
Beyond the visa fee itself, set aside money for travel to and from the application centre, photographs, printing and photocopying, any document attestation or apostille charges, travel insurance, and your flights and accommodation. Do not pay for non-refundable flights or hotels before your visa is granted.
Documents: What to Prepare
Anatolia publishes the official tourist-visa document checklist (a one-page PDF, 23 items) on its checklists page. Use that checklist as your authority; the summary below covers its main categories. Do not rely on a checklist copied from a blog or an agent: checklists change, and an outdated list is a common reason applications are delayed.
| Category | What the checklist covers |
|---|---|
| Passport | Valid 6 months beyond stay, plus copies and old passport |
| Photographs | 2 photographs |
| Cover letter | Typed cover letter (mandatory for age 16+) |
| Family documents | FRC / marriage certificate as applicable |
| Interview form | For applicants aged 18+ |
| Financial documents | Bank statement (last 3 months, A4, signed/stamped, not older than 30 days), account maintenance certificate, tax documents (salary slips / FBR / last-year returns / NTN) |
| Employment, business or sponsor documents | As applicable to your situation |
| Minors | Documents for applicants under 18 |
| Professional / student documents | As applicable |
| Trip evidence | Accommodation proof; return/onward ticket reservation |
| Travel health insurance | Coverage of USD 60,000 |
| Timing | Apply 15 days to 3 months before travel (this window does not mean processing within 15 days) |
| Other | Accompanying-person documents; diplomatic-mission appointment letter if applicable; submitted documents are not returned except specified originals |

The one document rule that is confirmed in law
One document requirement is confirmed in Turkish law and on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pages. Under Law No. 6458, Article 7.1b, a travel document must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the duration of stay of the visa, e-Visa or exemption. The Ministry advises carrying a passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival, and the Embassy asks sticker visa applicants to have a travel document with at least 6 months of validity.
Check your passport before anything else. If it has less than 6 months of validity left, renew it first. Note that Anatolia’s checklist asks for a passport valid 6 months beyond the stay, which is stricter than the legal minimum above, so follow the checklist.
General preparation pointers (not the official checklist)
The following pointers are general preparation advice, not the official checklist, which Anatolia publishes and which governs your application. Most applicants find it useful to gather in advance: passport with validity checked, plus copies of its bio-data page and any previous visas; CNIC and family documents such as the Family Registration Certificate if relevant; recent passport-style photographs; evidence of employment or business and bank statements showing regular income and savings; a realistic itinerary with hotel bookings and flight reservations, preferably refundable; and, if visiting family or friends in Turkiye, an invitation letter with the host’s full name, address and contact details.
Present your documents honestly and consistently. A single fabricated bank statement or employment letter can lead to a refusal and damage future applications. Officers check that the story told by your form, your finances and your itinerary is one coherent story.
Apostille: a useful point for Pakistani documents
Pakistan acceded to the Hague Apostille Convention on 9 March 2023. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the sole apostille authority, and apostilled Pakistani documents, including birth, marriage and death certificates, Family Registration Certificates, police character certificates, educational documents, court rulings, powers of attorney and notarised documents, must be recognised in Turkiye without further attestation. If a document of yours needs authentication, ask the centre whether an apostille from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the correct route.
How to Apply for the Sticker Visa Step by Step
Step 1: Confirm which route applies to you
Check whether you hold a valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit. If you do, the e-Visa route is open to you. If you do not, you need the sticker visa route.
Step 2: Get the current checklist and fee from Anatolia
Visit Anatolia’s website or your nearest centre and obtain the current document checklist, fee and appointment instructions for your visa category, plus the centre’s address and opening hours. No prior appointment is needed for general tourist submissions: centres accept walk-ins Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 15:00, on a token, first-come first-served basis.
Step 3: Prepare your file
Work through the official checklist item by item. Check your passport validity, gather the documents, and make clear copies. Keep the originals and the copies in separate folders so nothing goes missing at the centre.
Step 4: Submit your application at the centre
Attend the Anatolia centre with your completed file. Hand over your application and documents, and pay the fee only against a computer-generated receipt from the authorised office. Keep the receipt: it is your proof of payment and your reference for tracking.
Step 5: Track your application
Follow the application’s progress using Anatolia’s online status tracking by passport number. Respond promptly if the centre or the Embassy asks for anything further. Do not hand your passport or receipt to anyone other than the centre’s own staff.
Step 6: Collect your passport and check the visa
When your passport is ready for collection, check the visa immediately: your name, passport number, the validity dates, the number of entries and the permitted stay. If anything looks wrong, raise it at once. Keep a copy of the visa page with your travel documents.
Processing Time: What to Expect
No fixed processing timeline is published. Anatolia advises submitting at least one month before travel, and says standard processing generally takes around 6 weeks at least (working days), varying by case, with longer waits in peak season. There is no fast-track or expedited process. Anatolia’s FAQ separately recommends applying at least 15 days before travel, while warning that processing within 15 days cannot be guaranteed; the tourist checklist likewise says the 15-day to 3-month application window does not mean processing within 15 days. Apply as early as you reasonably can, and track your application through Anatolia’s passport-number tracking. Avoid booking non-refundable travel for dates close to your application date. If your travel dates are fixed, such as a wedding or a pre-booked tour, mention this in your application.
What You Can and Cannot Do on a Visit Visa
A Turkish visit visa, whether e-Visa or sticker visa, is for visiting. Tourism and commerce are the purposes covered by the e-Visa, and the sticker visa covers the visit purpose you applied for. Sightseeing, visiting family and friends, shopping and attending social events are all consistent with a visit.
What a visit visa does not cover is equally important. You cannot work in Turkiye on a visit visa or an e-Visa, and you cannot study on one either. Work and study visas are issued by Turkish Embassies and Consulates through their own routes. Leave before your permitted stay ends: your visa states the validity and the permitted stay, so read it carefully when you collect your passport.
Common Mistakes Pakistani Applicants Make
- Assuming no visa is needed. Turkiye is sometimes wrongly described as visa-free for Pakistanis. For ordinary passport holders it is not. Check your route before booking.
- Trying the e-Visa without a qualifying document. The e-Visa condition is strict. Applying without a valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit wastes the fee and the effort.
- Trusting fee figures from blogs or agents. Fee amounts circulating online conflict sharply. The only reliable figures are the one shown inside the official e-Visa portal and the one quoted by Anatolia for sticker visas.
- Using unofficial agents or copycat websites. Anatolia has no authorised agents or sub-agents. Deal directly with the centre, pay only against a computer-generated receipt, and use www.evisa.gov.tr for e-Visas.
- Ignoring passport validity. The 60-days-beyond-stay legal rule and the 6-months-advised standard catch out applicants every year. Renew early if your passport is close to expiry.
- Submitting inconsistent or fabricated documents. One contradiction between the form, the finances and the itinerary raises more questions than a thin but honest file. Never submit a document you cannot stand behind.
Practical Tips for Pakistani Applicants
Apply early, keep copies of everything you submit, and keep your fee receipt and tracking details until your passport is back. If the centre or Embassy asks for more information, respond promptly and completely. Travel insurance is not stated as a visa requirement in the official sources checked for this guide, but medical care abroad is expensive, and a policy covering the full trip is strongly advisable.
Each traveller needs their own visa, including children. Check the centre’s requirements for minors, including consent documents when a child travels with only one parent. For group travel, make sure every member has confirmed their own route: one family member’s qualifying Schengen visa does not give the rest of the family e-Visa eligibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Pakistani passport holders need a visa for Turkiye?
Yes. Ordinary Pakistani passport holders must hold a visa or e-Visa before travelling. Holders of diplomatic, service, special and official passports are exempt for up to 90 days.
Who can get a Turkish e-Visa from Pakistan?
An ordinary Pakistani passport holder who holds a valid Schengen, USA, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit can obtain a one-month, single-entry e-Visa for tourism or commerce through www.evisa.gov.tr. Anyone without a qualifying document must apply for a sticker visa.
How much is the Turkey visit visa fee from Pakistan in 2026?
According to Anatolia’s published fee structure, checked 13 October 2026, a single-entry visa costs PKR 52,200 (3 months), PKR 58,000 (6 months) or PKR 63,800 (12 months), and a multiple-entry 12-month visa costs PKR 98,600. Payments are in PKR cash only, fees are non-refundable and exclude applicable GST. Confirm the current figures on Anatolia’s fee structure page before applying. The e-Visa fee is shown inside the official e-Visa portal during the application.
Where do Pakistanis apply for a Turkish sticker visa?
At an Anatolia Visa Application Centre. Anatolia has been the sole authorised provider for Turkish diplomatic missions in Pakistan since 1 May 2021, with centres in eight cities: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Hyderabad. The Embassy does not accept sticker applications directly. No prior appointment is needed for general tourist submissions: centres accept walk-ins Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 15:00, on a token, first-come first-served basis.
How long does the Turkey visit visa take from Pakistan?
No fixed timeline is published. Anatolia says standard processing generally takes around 6 weeks at least (working days) and advises applying at least one month before travel. There is no fast-track service. Track your application by passport number through Anatolia, and avoid non-refundable bookings until the visa is granted.
What documents do I need for a Turkey visit visa from Pakistan?
Anatolia publishes the official tourist-visa checklist (23 items) on its checklists page; follow that checklist. One confirmed rule is passport validity: your travel document must be valid at least 60 days beyond the duration of stay, and Anatolia’s checklist asks for 6 months beyond the stay.
Can I work in Turkiye on a visit visa or e-Visa?
No. Visit visas and e-Visas do not allow work or study. Work and study visas are issued by Turkish Embassies and Consulates through their own routes.
What happens if my Turkey visit visa is refused?
The decision rests with the Turkish Embassy or Consulate. If you are refused, read the refusal reasons carefully, address them, and seek guidance from the application centre on whether a fresh application is appropriate.
